Jeff Lynch Photography > 2009 12-02 I came up with this one all by myself :D. Thanks to my wife for shooting it for me. I had her shoot directly into the umbrella to make the silhouette. I did a bit of touch up and darkening of the darks to get the effect I was going for. I liked that baby Ashley's face had more light than mine which makes her the focus :D.
Jeff Lynch Photography > 2009 12-20 Auntie Tiffany was kind enough to make another cute hat for baby Ashley today! Sooooo cute!
Jeff Lynch Photography > 2009 05-05 Another Tuesday, another race. Unfortunately, pictures of races on Tuesdays mean that I wasn't in the race. I managed to tear a spoke from my hub, and called it a night about 1/2 way through. The course wasn't one that suited my skills all that well anyway (big dudes need flat finishes, not uphill!). Last time my bike broke, I was without my 70-200 f/2.8 which I love so much for bike races, and I vowed that I'd carry it with me every week so I didn't miss any more race shots.

I played with this one quite a bit in Photoshop, trying to accentuate the emotion and apparent pain...and this one was on the 'easy' part of the course!
Jeff Lynch Photography > 2009 04-06 I woke up early this morning and headed to the park in Renton. I had heard the birds were more active in the morning; and were they ever! The herons were all over the place making their nests, and the cooper's hawks have returned and were out and about enjoying the morning sun. This pretty gal let us get about 30 yards from her before heading back to tend her nest. Just a crop in photoshop. I debated lowering saturation and adding more blue, but this is a more accurate rendition of the way the sun was being reflected at sunrise.
Jeff Lynch Photography > 2009 12-11 I know it's just gas, but I love the smile :D.
Jeff Lynch Photography > 2010 02-06 I had a great day of raptor shooting (photographically speaking). However, the swans stole the show. I love the mountains, and the swans mixed in with the oil factory. I'm always a fan of juxtaposition, although I'm not very good at capturing it usually.

The rest of the set is HERE
Jeff Lynch Photography > 2010 01-15 Puppy love. As I was shooting baby Ashley yesterday, Misha decided to come up and give her a kiss.

Interesting note on the dogs. Odie does not seem to have nearly the compassion for the baby that Misha does. Misha follows around at night, and is always the first one up if baby is crying. It's really cute. Her kisses are really sweet. Odie's mean he wants something.

Week 2 on the job is now in the books. Weird how getting laid off makes me feel insecure in my new skin. I feel like at any moment this little dream of mine could come to an end. So far, it's been awesome, and I think I'm coming up to speed on how things work.
Jeff Lynch Photography > 2010 02-19 Super-cute baby night at our house! Finneas' parents were kind enough to let me shoot her to work a bit more on my baby portfolio. I really love the expression here. Such a happy baby!
Jeff Lynch Photography > 2010 02-27 My wife got me a trip to NW trek for Valentine's day. Today I cashed in. My dad & I did the keeper's tour which got us up close & personal with many of the park's animals that are normally shy. This cougar was pacing the pen, and tough to get a shot off. I'm totally fascinated and terrified by these guys with the amount of time I spend in their world. Absolutely, the coolest animals in the park, and well worth the patience to get a decent shot of one.
