Jeff Lynch Photography > 2010 01-30 I managed to get my niece to sit for me with the black background and some lights, but bribing her with Ashley. She loooooves holding that baby :D.
Jeff Lynch Photography > 2009 08-10 Since I worked for hours & hours on these, I thought it appropriate to post a second one that I thought interesting. A little different twist on my normal motion blur by changing it to B&W.
Jeff Lynch Photography > 2009 08-06 D700 came today! Woohoo! I thought bike racing, and kid pics in the dark would be good first challenges for putting it through it’s paces. This shot doesn’t really show much different than the D300, but in the evening, we had a party for my bro-in-law for landing a new job. Everyone brought their kids, and with dwindling light, I was shooting at ISO 2000 and higher with no dropoff whatsoever. Today might be a double day, but with the Smugmug difficulty, #2 might come later on (one of the kid ones at amazing ISO’s).

This is an old-school panning shot. Shutter priority, 1/50s. Effect is created by panning the camera with the riders as they whiz by.
Jeff Lynch Photography > 2009 12-04 If you've looked through my site at all, you'll realize these are probably my two most photographed subjects. It's a beautiful thing to get them together. My nephew Nolan is so great with Ashley.
Jeff Lynch Photography > 2009 03-25 Today it's looking more official. This time around we have a "dot with a flicker" as the doc put it. The pinkish spot here is our "dot". Hopefully, everything will go as planned and I'll have more of these to post in the near future!
Jeff Lynch Photography > 2009 11-28 Ashley on her 9th day. It's hard, painstaking work to get her to sleep in this position. Once I got her comfy and sleeping, it was pretty easy to move her around...that is until it was time for food.
Jeff Lynch Photography > 2009 11-20 Day #1 for our little Ashley. So far, all the tests have come back great, and we should be headed for home tomorrow. I managed 5 minutes of sleep this evening to complement the 2.5 hours last night.

Baby grabbed my finger :D. So cute!
Jeff Lynch Photography > 2010 03-04 ONE YEAR! This is day 365 of my dailies. I thought about trying to do something different, but then again, it's all about today! Baby Ashley is usually sleepy by the time daddy gets home, so I woke up early to make this one happen. My wife and I went out to Teatro Zinzanni for her birthday. Unfortunately, they don't allow cameras (because they have their own guy that makes money off of it...). Awesome show! Awesome company!

This year has been insane! It's one year from the day we found out we were pregnant, I shot my first wedding, my first senior portraits, countless soccer and tee ball games, upgraded nearly all my goodies, got laid off, found a new job, and continued taking pictures and riding my bikes. Not to mention the most precious thing in the world, captured happily here :D. Looking forward to day 1/365 starting tomorrow in year 2.

Thanks for all your comments this year! It's been a crazy one!
Jeff Lynch Photography > 2009 05-03 Hawk tongue? I never really noticed (or had enough resolution to see), but it appears that this hawk has a tongue. Very odd looking. Through a little research and some other photographer's work at this area, I was able to figure out where this guy likes to hang out. I'd just made my way when low & behold; here it came! It landed right above me and chowed down some lunch. This is a catch during the cleaup work following.

Cropped in PS.

More of this guy and the rest of the Lake UnionNatural Area are here: http://www.jefflynchphotography.com/Nature/766398
